I can’t remember a time in my life that I haven’t enjoyed being active, being involved in athletics, and working toward fitness.  From playing sports, to weight lifting, to taking walks – I love it all!

I studied Biology in my undergraduate years, then went on to get a masters degree in Sports Science and Coaching.  I am currently working to become a Certified Personal Trainer so that I can use my knowledge to encourage and help others to achieve fitness on a day to day basis.  The more I learn, the more I want to learn.  I’m up for the challenge of learning all of the technical terms and lingo - so that I can then explain fitness to you in a simple, easy to understand way.  (For instance, take a Sphygmomanometer.  That’s just a regular ol’ blood pressure cuff.   See?  I’ll learn the hard stuff – then I’ll show you how to easily apply it to your every day fitness needs.)

I think you’ll find that I’m just a regular person, striving to be fit, just like you.  I understand what it means to struggle to keep weight down, stay motivated to exercise regularly, and to eat the right foods to maintain optimum health.

Fitness is a journey we’re all on together.  Grab your tennis shoes and walk along side me as we explore fitness together.
